Mike Padden

Mike Padden joined USALCO in 2021 and currently serves as Chief Information Officer. As an entrepreneurial-minded, energetic professional with diverse experience across multiple IT and business disciplines, Mike brings 20 years of experience to the leadership role for all USALCO® information technology and systems platforms.

He is responsible for the strategic direction of USALCO’s information technology and digital strategy including resources and technology innovation and for ensuring effective and secure delivery and support of technology systems to all areas of the company.

Mike is also responsible for providing both software and infrastructure solutions that support the current operation and growth of USALCO through the use of technology, to be both operationally important and strategically differentiating.

Prior to joining USALCO, Mike served in several IT leadership positions, including at the Synalloy Corporation, Smithfield Packing Company, and Smithfield Foods, Inc. While at Smithfield Packing Company, Mike led that organization’s efforts in establishing its own internal IT department as a shared-service hub by analyzing job role distributions, eliminating duplicate application administration and support positions across the enterprise, and implementing efficient processes to address the rapidly evolving digital environment.

Mike received his Bachelor of Science degree in Management Information Systems from East Carolina University’s College of Business.
