On February 10th, President Trump announced the imposition of a 25% tariff on aluminum imports from all countries, effective March 12th. This new tariff reinstates duties on aluminum imports from all countries without exemptions and increases the duties from 10% to 25%.

Consequently, the cost of importing aluminum to the United States will rise considerably. This change will affect the Platts US Transaction price, which includes the Midwest US Transaction Premium. The Midwest Premium is expected to increase to maintain the flow of metal units into the US market.

This significant increase in import costs directly impacts the overall price of aluminum-based coagulants and has already impacted our raw material costs. As a result, we regret to inform our customers that we must immediately adjust our pricing to reflect these new tariffs.
