Ferric Sulfate 50%
USALCO Ferric Sulfate (50%) is an effective liquid coagulant that is based on trivalent iron (Fe3+). It is produced by the reaction of high-purity iron ore with sulfuric acid. The product is effective for clarifying both drinking water and wastewater and can be used for removing turbidity, color, phosphate, and heavy metals. It is used in lime softening processes and for sludge treatment. This product meets the standards set by the American Water Works Association Standard B406-20 and complies with the health effects requirements of NSF/ANSI/CAN 60.
Used in industrial and municipal water and wastewater treatment as a primary coagulant for the removal of turbidity, color, suspended solids, heavy metals, and phosphorus; sludge conditioning, compaction, and volume reduction. Oily wastewater clarification and dissolved air flotation; and emulsion breaking. Effectively be used in Hydrogen Sulfide control applications to reduce odor and corrosion. Has a low free acidity often reducing caustic or lime demand.
