Ferric Sulfate 60%
USALCO Ferric Sulfate (60%) is a highly effective liquid coagulant based on trivalent iron (Fe3+). It is made by reacting high-purity iron ore with sulfuric acid. The product can be used to clarify both potable water and wastewater, removing turbidity, color, phosphate, and heavy metals. It is used in lime softening processes and for conditioning sludge. It also has the ability to control hydrogen sulfide, reduce odor, and prevent corrosion. This product meets the standards set by the American Water Works Association Standard B406-20 and complies with the health effects requirements of NSF/ANSI/CAN 60.
Used in industrial and municipal water and wastewater treatment as a primary coagulant for the removal of turbidity, color, suspended solids, heavy metals, and phosphorus; sludge conditioning, compaction, and volume reduction. Oily wastewater clarification and dissolved air flotation; and emulsion breaking. Effectively be used in Hydrogen Sulfide control applications to reduce odor and corrosion. Has a low free acidity often reducing caustic or lime demand.
